  1. Help - Packet Driver Setup                                  31.01.94

  3. In order to work with the packet driver version of
  4. Net-Control, you have to load a packet driver and
  5. a special statistic interface (STATIPKT.COM) before
  6. starting Net-Control.
  7.  
  8. With P-SETUP you can generate a batchfile NC-START.BAT
  9. which does this automatically:
  10.  - load the packet driver with correct parameters,
  11.  - load the statistic interface for Net-Control,
  12.  - start Net-Control   and
  13.    (after having finished Net-Control)
  14.  - unload the packet driver and the interface.

  17. P-SETUP needs the following configuration information:

  19. ⌠Which packet driver is used ?⌡
  20.  If possible, you can specify one of the drivers for
  21.  Novell-compatible ethernet cards coming with Net-Control.
  22.  Otherwise you have to choose "other driver" from the list
  23.  and enter the name of the driver manually.
  24.  This driver will be copied into the current directory.

  26.  If you choose "Driver already loaded" then only the
  27.  statistic interface is loaded before Net-Control. In this
  28.  case only the value for the packet driver interrupt is
  29.  relevant.

  31. ⌠Which interrupt should be used ?⌡
  32.  Enter the interrupt nummer for the packet driver here.
  33.  The default value is 96.

  35. ⌠Which IRQ level should the driver use ?⌡
  36. ⌠And which IO address?⌡
  37. Enter here the values configured on your network card.
  38. The IO address is hexadecimal.

  41. You can finish the setup program by selecting
  42. the menu entry ≤Write NC-START.BAT and exit≥.

  44. Net-Control can be started afterwards by
